In 1994, Joint Stock Company “Rektifikati”, later renamed JSC “GOMI SPIRIT AND VODKA COMPANY” was founded by Dima Dugladze and Malkhaz Kanchaveli (current company CEO) in Khashuri region, village Gomi, Georgia. Since that time, the company has focused on building sustainable growth by adhering  to the core values and business principles  that are the cornerstone to corporate philosophy.

Today, with exclusive emphasis on quality, the company is a Leading  Alcoholic Beverage  manufacturing company in Georgia achieving success through commitment to storied  brands, to customers  and  to communities.         

The factory started its functioning in 1903 using raw material: wheat, bread, maize and oats. During this period the production of the factory didn’t exceed 150 – 200 L in 24 hours.

After the World War II, Gomi factory started using sugar beet nectar /Melasa/ for production the spirits and the production volume of the factory increased up to 500 DAL. In following years it increased up to 1500 DAL per 24 hours. During this whole period, till 1997, the factory aimed at processing only sugar beet nectar /Melasa/ and Chacha raw spirit.

In 1997, the factory was completely reconstructed and different kinds of construction-montage activities were carried out. The system of two, permanent action four block spirit production equipments (the equipment produces 1800-2000 D/L in 24 hours), was completely changed – usage of new technologies facilitated the automatic operation of the equipment.

Considering the experience of CIS and Europe factories, the new modern technology scheme was utilized, which enabled the Gomi factory to produce high quality wheat spirits.

The adoption of best practices and world-class technologies has enabled the company to ensure the best product quality. For over 100 years, the company has been internationally recognized for its outstanding performance. Confirmation of high quality products and services are many prizes and awards contained in the company's collection.

Gomi Spirit and Vodka Company won several gold and silver medals in the various international exhibitions.
